Bio

Imogen grew up surrounded by motorsports. At 13 Imogen was urged to take a car handling class at Team O’Neil prior to starting drivers training. The experience altered Imogen’s trajectory. She couldn’t get enough of sliding a car around fast! With the help of Thompson Racing Fabrication she soon was helping to build her first rally car. While construction began the training at Team O’Neil continued and soon she was eating up miles in her new Fiesta rally car and furthering her skills for stage rally. With ample training and serious determination she entered and completed her first ARA event at only 15 years old and only missed the podium by two spots!

Imogen Thompson has grown up around motorsport. She is helping the TRF crew keep the cars clean at a summer rally race.

2026+

Imogen is the youngest driver ever to compete in North American Rally with her first event at only 14 years old. Imogen has since competed in five rallies and one tarmac hillclimb in the last two years. She is leveling up and planning to compete in 5-6 rally events in the 2026 ARA season. Imogen is very competitive in motorsports but also exceptionally driven in her schooling. She is currently a junior in high school, enrolled in an engineering academy and has her aim set for a prestigious university.

Her rally community has been dotted with amazing support from the businesses as well as some outstanding mentors she is exceptionally grateful for. Imogen’s story is certainly unique in rally and motorsport as a whole but her dedication and drive might just be the most inspiring part of all.

TRF works alongside Imogen for re-preping the car between rallies.TRF designed and constructed Imogen’s Fiesta and also manages logistics, transport service, service crew, for every rally.

Team O’Neil Rally School was responsible for inspiring Imogen’s rally career. Since that day they have been there for many training hours both behind the wheel and in the classroom.
